About RCCDN:

Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN) is a non-Governmental organisation created in November 2017, by 26 Rwandan Organisations Members. RCCDN is registered officially by the Rwanda Government Board (RGB) with the number 416/RGB/NGO/OC/06/2018. It has a strategic planning of 5 years from 2018 – 2022

RCCDN’s Mission:  The RCCDN has the mandate to ensure the coordination of the CSOs toward efficient engagement with policy makers at all levels. It has to be a lead network in Rwanda that advocates for community resilience to climate change, justice and equitable development.

Organs of RCCDN

  • The general assembly: It is composed by 26 local organisations working in different sectors having a direct link with the climate change and development
  • The board of directors: The RCCDN has the legal representative, deputy legal representative, treasurer and the secretary who is at the same time the coordinator
  • The audit committee: The audit committee is composed by 3 people elected from members organisations to provide oversight of the financial reporting process, the audit process, the system of internal controls and compliance with laws, regulations and resolutions of the board and General Assembly
  • The conflict resolution organ: The Organ of conflict resolution is composed of three members elected by the General Assembly of effective members for a three years term renewable once
  • Working groups: Working groups are created to lead and represent RCCDN in campaigns on thematic issues as well as to Provide technical support at thematic level
